MERIDETH KAYE CLARK
Bio
What does a standby do when she's just standing by? This one wrote an album.
Merideth Kaye Clark was the standby for Elphaba—musical theatre's most vocally challenging role—in the hit musical "Wicked" for two years (2008-2010). With that time on hand, and inspiration from the road, she wrote "Young Stellar Object," a collection of 9 folk-pop songs that highlight her voice, as well as her masterful songwriting abilities.

"The singer's rich, occasionally smoky, vocals caress the intricate harmonies of her songs beautifully and one looks forward to hearing more from her...a bit country-western and a bit Kate Bush"
- Andy Propst, TheaterMania.com (Aug 27, 2010)
"a hauntingly beautiful folk-pop album...Merideth’s freshman effort shines"
- Joseph Harrison, BroadwayWorld.com (Aug 18, 2010)
